In 2016, in the vibrant heart of Barcelona, Truwood was born—a brand driven by a passion for surfing and an unwavering commitment to sustainability. Founded by Rafael Capri, a dedicated surfer with over 37 years of experience, Truwood reflects his deep love for surfboards and woodcraft.
Rafael has always found joy in building with his hands, channeling his craftsmanship into creating exclusive surfboards that embody quality and detail. Each Truwood board is a work of art, designed for those who seek not only exceptional performance but also a deep connection to nature. We use high-quality materials, including a core made primarily from recycled EPS, Paulownia wood, and cork, blending innovation with respect for the environment.
Rather than flooding the market with quantities, we produce a limited number of boards each month. This focus allows us to emphasize quality and the love we pour into every step of the process. Each board that leaves our workshop tells a story: the story of its creation, the hands that shaped it, and the ocean that will embrace it.
